Bariatric surgery is a solution for clinical obesity. For a male, that typically equates to being about 100 pound overweight or more.

All Bariatric surgery candidates will receive an extensive medical evaluation to determine if bariatric surgery is a safe and appropriate choice.

Educational Forums

Patients considering bariatric surgery are encouraged to attend the free educational forums available at the Mount Carmel West Hospital and the Mount Carmel East Hospital. The forums are also helpful for family members of the patient. Information provided includes:

  • Surgical treatment options
